I graduated from Eakly High School. While in high school I was involved in basketball, softball, track, 4-H, FHA, NHS, and the academic team. I graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Elementary Education. I got my first job at Taloga Elementary School teaching 3rd grade. I taught at Taloga for four years. While in Taloga I became involved with a group out of Oklahoma State University teaching science to other teachers during the summer. I also became a trainer for the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. After teaching in Taloga, I took a job at Erick Elementary School teaching 6th grade. I taught at Erick for three years. While in Erick I graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Summa Cum Laude, with my Masters of Education in School Psychometry. I also achieved my National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Science while I taught in Erick. After teaching in Erick, I moved to Covington. While in Covington, I went back to school again to obtain my certificate in school counseling. I teach senior English, in addition to being the school counselor, testing coordinator, and psychometrist. I am the sponsor for the academic teams 5-12th grade, NHS, and the senior class.
