Meet Mr. Daugherty

My name is Kenny Daugherty. This is my 17th year in education, and currently starting my 6th year at Covington-Douglas. I have taught and coached at Western Heights in OKC, Carl Albert in Midwest City, and Jones. I am the head fast pitch softball coach, head boys basketball coach, junior high slow pitch softball, and assistant high school slow pitch. I teach 5th English, 7th Reading, and 9th English.

I attended Langston University where I obtained my Bachelor's Degree in English Education in 2001. I later obtained my Master's Degree from Southern Nazarene University in Educational Leadership in 2008 and hope to one day further my career in administration.

My wife, Christy, and I have been married for 22 years. She is the Human Resource Officer at Ditch Witch in Perry. We have 4 sons that consume our every day lives; however, we would not have it any other way. Dylan is currently a student at Oklahoma State University and lives in Stillwater with his wife Hailey Daugherty (Kaiser). Dalton is A senior and loves attending Autry and playing football, basketball and baseball as well as anything that has to do with mechanics. Drake is a 7th grader and loves everything about school and loves playing in the band as well as competing in sports. Derrek is a 6th grader and loves competing in sports as well as watching anything sports related.

My family and I have been blessed to be a part of this community and school, and look forward to many more years.
