Hello and thanks for stopping by! My name is Bonnie Casteel and I live in Lucien, OK with my husband T.J., son Matt (10), daughters Annie Dale (8), Libby Louise (5), Ladd Thomas (3). We have four dogs: Chloe, Penny, Millie, and Stella. We have a lot of cows and 10 horses. I grew up in Perry and graduated from Perry High School in 2003. I ventured to the University of Oklahoma for one semester (what was I thinking?!?!), and then I found my true home in Stillwater at Oklahoma State University! GO COWBOYS!!!! I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (basically, a Business Degree) in May of 2007.
I moved to Destin, Florida after I graduated and worked as a Front Desk Supervisor at The Hilton Sandestin. After staying there a year, I then moved to Fort Worth, Texas to work for Black and Decker/DeWalt. I was a Sales and Marketing specialist, and I worked there for one year, as well. I moved back to Oklahoma in December of 2008, and started working on my certification to be a teacher. After working the other jobs, I knew teaching was what I really wanted to do! This will be my tenth year at C-D schools. Previously, I taught math and computers for three years at Crescent Public Schools. I was also the Head Slow Pitch Coach and assistant Fast Pitch Coach.
My husband T.J. graduated from Covington-Douglas in 2006. He currently works for Noble County Rural Water, manages our cow/calf herd, and he is an auctioneer. We both have our Real Estate Licenses, and work for Wiggins Auctioneers. T.J. also works rodeos as a pick-up man.
I truly enjoy teaching and making a difference. In my classroom, I like to have fun and hope that every student feels they can be successful in math. In my spare time, I enjoy playing with my kids, running, and reading.
I am very excited to continue teaching at Covington-Douglas. We are excited to be a part of the community and raise our family here! GO WILDCATS!
