My name is Elaine Vardeman, I am married and live in Perry, Oklahoma. I have two grown children who live in Alaska and New Mexico. I was born and raised in Ponca City where my love of music began with singing at home,in girls choir, in church and playing clarinet/ marching on the Po High football field. I then went to Phillips University and recieved my bachelors degree in Music Education emphasis Music Therapy. I worked at Billings Fairchild Center for 28 years and decided because I could read music, I would like to pass on that blessing to others. So I began taking Teachers Education courses and went through the alternative certification process. I have taught in Carney, Agra, Medford, and Covington, where I have been for 3 years. I love singing, dancing and being in music ensembles. I often take whatever training I can to enhance my teaching which has included, Orff, Kodaly, and First Steps to Music by John Fiereabend and as of late Instrument Repair out of necessity.
