Welcome to 3rd Grade! I am Amy Hoffman, and this is my 13th year to teach at Covington-Douglas. Before coming to Covington, I taught 3 years of Kindergarten at St. Joseph Catholic School and also 3 years at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Enid.
Upon graduating from Covington-Douglas High School, I attended the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) in Edmond. I graduated from UCO with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with certification in Early Childhood Education. I received my National Board Certification in 2007.
I am married to Pete Hoffman, and we have two wonderful children. Pete works as a Line Technician at Ditch Witch. He is also a volunteer firefighter and EMT for the Perry Fire Department. When he is not working, Pete enjoys playing with our children (harassing them, really), riding motorcycles, and camping. Our son, Grant, is 8-years-old and our daughter, Makenna, is 5.
My hobbies include spending time with my family, reading, glass etching, and playing tennis.
Here are some of my favorite things:
Team: OSU (my house is divided---the boys like OU while the girls like OSU)
Author: Nicholas Sparks
I also love chocolate and ice cream!!!!
